SMB series silicone masterbatches are white pellets or white powder which made from ultra-high molecular weight polysiloxane, used by plastics as processing aids and impart expected silicone benefits to plastics, often more efficiently and more effectively than lower molecular weight silicone fluids, such as safety, little effect on the adhesion of paints, labels or decorations, more convenient to handle, good dispersion. Silicone masterbatches are with the carrier of polyethylene.
SMB series is capable of mixing with thermoplastics at any proportion in the content range of 0.1% - 15%. In the range of 0.1% - 2%, it can markedly improve the fluidity and mould release characteristics of the product. When being injection or extrusion moulded, SMB series can lower the screw torque, reduce energy loss, increase production efficiency and prolong service life of the equipments. When being used in glass-fiber reinforced plastics, it can obviously reduce glass-fiber protrusion, improve surface fineness of the product and qualify the modified product for large and thin-wall goods. When being added in high-content mineral filled plastics, SMB series can make up for the loss of mechanical properties caused by high-content of filling and improve the appearance of the products.
In the range of 2% - 5%, SMB series can improve the scratch-resistance of the products, greatly lower the friction coefficient of the products and reduce the abrasion loss. SMB series is an effective abrasion-resistant additive special for such materials as high-lubricant POM, abrasion-resistant nylon, silica core barrel, cable, PP-R and PE pipes.
SMB series can also be used for manufacturing functional masterbatch such as lubricant masterbatch, open masterbatch and so on.
SMB series contains no matrix and is compatible with any plastics.
SMB series contains more effective components and act the same effect at half dosage of any other silicone masterbatch.
